General Job Brief
Assists in the leadership and management of the men's volleyball program as directed by the head men's coach.
Duties, Tasks, Responsibilities (assists the head coach in the following areas)
- Demonstrated commitment to the highest ethical standards of the university;
- Day-to-day operations support to include but not limited to:
- Recruitment to meet roster goals
- Equipment inventory management
- Practice preparation
- Game day preparation and scheduling
- Academic accountability
- Community service
- Team fundraising activities
- Intentional Christian faith integration
- Provides spiritual guidance, prayer, and support for the team
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
Completing other duties and tasks with utmost integrity and professionalism, as directed and not necessarily mentioned in this description, will be expected.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree.
Demonstrated connection to the Christian Mission and Core Commitments of the University.
Playing or coaching experience in collegiate or high level club men's volleyball.
Working Conditions
General intercollegiate athletics environment with specific concern for men's volleyball. Office hours to accomplish administrative tasks. Meeting with student-athletes as needed. Travel to competition and recruitment as needed
Time Required
Standard college volleyball calendar for in-season and out-of-season plus academic year commitments with respect to support recruitment of prospective student-athletes.
